Welcome to Team Year 4!

In Year 4 we encourage children to be independent in their learning and to always give their best, building on the foundations set in Year 3. Your child will be encouraged to read widely and experience a wide range of books. Writing is a real focus too and there are many opportunities across the curriculum to write with real purpose for different audiences. Our Year 4 maths curriculum is lively and provides the children with opportunities to learn and apply maths to their everyday lives.

There are a wide range of exciting learning opportunities for your child to look forward to in Year 4, including a residential trip to Fairthorne Manor and a visit to the Southampton Art gallery. Throughout the year we will be celebrating the children's learning in our projects by holding parent showcases, we hope you will be able to attend some of our exciting outcomes and see some of the wonderful learning your child produces.
