In Year 4 we encourage children to be independent in their learning and to always give their best, building on the foundations set in Year 3.

Our Motto is 'To be the best we can!'

In Year 4, your child will be encouraged to read widely and experience a wide range of books. Writing is a real focus too and there are many opportunities across the curriculum to write with real purpose for different audiences. Our Year 4 Maths curriculum is lively and provides the children with opportunities to learn and apply maths to their everyday lives.

There are a wide range of exciting learning opportunities for your child to look forward to in Year 4, including a residential trip to Fairthorne Manor, visit to the Southampton Art gallery, walk to the Warsash common to meet one of the rangers and opportunities to work together during our Team Building day and a very exciting new foundation curriculum.
