At Locks Heath Junior School we want to instil in our children a love of Reading. A part of this is having a well stocked school library, where we aim to have something for everyone – exciting fiction, including popular authors and new writers, across many different genres, and a wide range of non-fiction.

Each class has a library slot each week, when the children can browse the books on the shelves and change their library books. During this time, our librarian also shares recommendations, reviews new books and shares stories to nurture a love of reading and excitement around books.

We have made links with The Book Shop in Lee-on-the-Solent who support author visits with book sales and generously offer discounts to make new books more affordable.
