Remembrance Day
Today our school community came together to show our respect to all the service men and women who have served in times of war, sometimes sacrificing their own lives, so we are able to live in peace.
The end of WW1 is commemorated on the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month, so at that time we stopped our playtime and learning time, we stopped our talk and chatter and we stopped our normal day to take a moment to remember.
Together as a whole school we observed a 2 minute silence to reflect on the enormous sacrifice others have made for us and reflected on those currently serving in the armed served to keep us safe.
Our Year 6 children performed some poems and also created a wonderful 'Lest We Forget' display which can be viewed in our school office.
