Portsdown Race 1
The rain clouds lifted and the sun shone to give us our first dry and relatively warm cross country race of the season.
Forty Locks Heath runners joined a total of 340 competitors from primary schools across the local area. Running two laps of Portsdown, including steep climbs and traversing sloping surfaces, this is not a race for the faint-hearted!
We were incredibly proud of how our children dug deep and determinedly reached the finish line. As well as welcoming some new children to the race course, we also saw some brilliant personal bests.
Thank you to all the parents who helped transport their child to the race - your support is very much appreciated.
