Parliament Trip
On Monday 2nd December, our School Council was invited to the Houses of Parliament. They were lucky enough to have a guided tour through the buildings and were in awe of the majesty of the architecture. Both the House of Commons and the House of Lords were sitting later on in the day so the children were able to enter both of these chambers. The King's throne in the House of Lords was particularly breath-taking! They then had a workshop on how laws are made in our country and our MP, Paul Holmes, came to speak to the children and answer any questions they had. The children were all incredibly respectful and represented Locks Heath Junior School well. It was a truly inspiring trip and hopefully has encouraged MPs of the future!
