The music specialist on our staff also teaches our wider opportunities programme.  Every child in Year 4 has a term of whole class ukulele lessons, and every child in Year 6 learns African drumming. The Head of Music from our local secondary school teaches every child in Year 4 whole class brass lessons. Every child also has the opportunity to learn recorder from Year 3 to Year 6.

Opportunities:

Violin, cello and brass lessons are offered to Year 4.  Mrs Riggs auditions for places in the summer term of Year 3.

Woodwind and guitar lessons are offered to Year 5 . Mrs Riggs auditions for places in the summer term of Year 4.

There is a termly charge for these lessons and parents have to provide the instruments either by buying them or hiring them.
