‘Where Children Come First’

Celebrating Music

What a fantastic week of music!

On Monday evening, children in the school choir attended the Collaborative Concert at Ferneham Hall with the theme this year of 'Musicals'.  All the local cluster schools are invited to perform a song of their choice before performing four further songs with the Brookfield Choir.  As well as this we had a performance from the Brookfield Chamber Choir and the Brookfield Orchestra and Jazz Band.  The talent on display was brilliant and we were all dancing in our seats to the final number 'Welcome to the 60's'!

Yesterday, our musicians attended the Locks Heath Rotary Music Competition at Victory Hall.  This year, there were over 50 soloists and ensembles competing.  Our musicians performed to a very high standard and demonstrated excellent bravery performing in front of a packed audience.  I'm delighted to say that Locks Heath won 1st prize for Berry's solo performance and also 1st prize to our Brass Ensemble - well done to all our musicians!
